I thought when I started my own business and worked from home, I would have plenty of spare time to do do as I pleased. Not so in your own business, especially starting out. Running my own business means, doing the bookkeeping, the marketing, the scheduling, the preparation for classes, the Social media planning, the Blog/Web posting…whew tired yet?

If you are a small business, you are the Marketing manager, the Project manager, Operations, scheduler, and in my case the whole Creative department all rolled into one. Many hats are on my head at any one moment of the day.

Some days my head feels like it is spinning with all that information flying around like a merry-go-round. I have to organise my month, week, and day not just to keep track of what I have to do each day but to be able to shut off the merry-go-round that goes round and round my head each night as I am trying to go to sleep.

Even in my days of studying in university or working in my career as a Geoscientist, I had to write a list of what the next day’s tasks just to let my mind rest enough to get some sleep. I like to know what the game plan is…Organize, Organize, Organize. If I do not plan out my month/week/day, I can not function. I found a great blog planner on http://shabbyartboutique.blogspot.com.au/2012/12/2013-blog-planner-to-download.html. It is used to plan your blog business, though I use it for planning all my business activities. For now I am learning to be more organized.
One day when I have enough money, I can pay someone to help……
